I am a Hero (Manga): Review (9/30/2020)

I started I am a Hero not knowing much about it, except that it has excellent art and it's a zombie apocalypse story. And that is pretty much what this manga is. Overall, the story is solid, however it is deeply corrupted by a dissatisfying ending that resolves almost none of mysteries that the reader might want solved. Despite this, strong characters and amazing art make it worth a read. Story: 6/10 As someone who loves fulfilling and resolved conclusions, this manga was quite disappointing to me. There is a subplot with one or two chapters about the zombie invasion in Spain that was very interesting, but is then later never elaborated on.   Here is my ranking system (I mostly read manga, but I watch anime sometimes): To start off, my ranking is pretty much limited to 5 or above. It's essentially a best out of 5 metric, from 10 being a 5/5 to 5 being a 0/5, if I find something especially bad. I do my best to keep the average to 8/10 (or 3/5), but I think in general I only read quality manga that I thoroughly enjoy, so it tends to be skewed upwards. I think that there are two different ways to rate manga: enjoyment and quality. For the most part, these rating are based off of how much I personally enjoyed the manga, but sometimes if the quality is very high I might add a higher rating. For example, I'd say that for enjoyment, Pluto by Naoki Urasawa was around a 9 but I think that the plot, characters, and art are all so well done it...
