Top Albums of 2023 (3/26/2024)

2023 was a super weak year for music. I honestly didn't have any albums that I just completely loved, unlike basically every other year since I really started listening to albums and keeping up with new music. The best albums this year may be only like top 5 in any other year, and at the time of writing (late March 2023) there have already been around four albums released that I would put in the same tier or higher as all these albums on the list.  I don't even think enough albums this year deserved a top ten finish, so I narrowed it down to like seven entries, plus one honorable mention. I also combined EPs with LPs this year in order to make the list longer. Funnily enough, if you were to combined the lengths of the two EPs on this list, it still would barely be long enough to be considered an album. Honorable Mention: Let's Start Here. by Lil Yachty When this album was released, I was so excited for 2023. It was released early on into 2023, and it was honestly a very so...

UCI Survival Guide: 2023 Fall (12/26/2023)

Image
Remember when I said that last quarter was my most busy quarter? This quarter almost pretty much matched it from start to finish. Just coming into UCI everything was a grind starting from week 0. Here is a screenshot of a typical week of my schedule. I'll explain everything below: Of course, I had my commitments from last year coming into this year. I am now the president of BBA, I decided to play IM volleyball again, I was in STMS again, and I had my chemical engineering major. Compared to last year, I did drop CATT, because I simply did not have enough time. However, I also applied to the Learning Anteater Resource Center (LARC) last year over the summer, and I somehow got in. LARC is basically a division on campus that is in charge of tutoring traditionally difficult classes, and they hire students to be tutors. They actually pay one of the highest amount of money compared to any on campus job, but in exchange you do have to put work in and you also have to do some other extra ...

My Career: Where I've Been and Where I'll Be Going (8/10/2026)

Where Have I Been? *Please forgive me if there are any noticeable grammar/writing issues, I didn't want to edit this shit after working on this for so long LOL! In the first few months that I started my first full time job, some of my coworkers took me out to lunch and told me that they advised me to change jobs within two years. This was not shocking news to me; I had already begun to realize that at this job, I would be doing the same work repeatedly and potentially stunting my long term growth compared to other opportunities. However, even though my current job is pretty chill and paid decently well, I knew I was lacking in relevant industry experience, and because of that I didn't know if I would be able to land another role after. This made me realize that I would probably have to be doing something more than just my job if I wanted to progress in my career, but I didn't know where to even start. Because of this, I started learning as much as I could about the tech/s...
