My Career: Where I've Been and Where I'll Be Going (8/10/2026)

Where Have I Been? *Please forgive me if there are any noticeable grammar/writing issues, I didn't want to edit this shit after working on this for so long LOL! In the first few months that I started my first full time job, some of my coworkers took me out to lunch and told me that they advised me to change jobs within two years. This was not shocking news to me; I had already begun to realize that at this job, I would be doing the same work repeatedly and potentially stunting my long term growth compared to other opportunities. However, even though my current job is pretty chill and paid decently well, I knew I was lacking in relevant industry experience, and because of that I didn't know if I would be able to land another role after. This made me realize that I would probably have to be doing something more than just my job if I wanted to progress in my career, but I didn't know where to even start. Because of this, I started learning as much as I could about the tech/s...

RaW Hero: Manga Review (9/5/2023)

RaW Hero is a work done by a man who is mentally insane. I guess that's already obvious because this is the same author that made Prison School, but this series is on a whole other level. Just from the first chapter alone, you can tell that this is a series that you can not take seriously and also in the same vein can not expect to be any semblance of "quality." All this series wants to do is to be weird, to be unpredictable, and it covers this up by calling itself a gag manga. And honestly, it is pretty funny. I actually laughed a couple times reading it. I think that this is a manga in the same vein of something like Golden Boy, although I think that this is just way funnier. To enjoy this manga, you can't expect anything out of it. You read this to laugh a little bit and to see all the ecchi shit that happens. I don't know if I can recommend this manga to any normal member of society, but I do think that if you enjoy something like JoJos or Golden Boy or Priso...

Maka Maka: Manga Review (9/4/2023)

A story about two bisexuals that just have sex pretty much anywhere. I first read it looking for some spice, thinking that one of the girls was a girlish looking dude, but turns out the manga was just about lesbians. It's not that bad, each chapter is around 10 pages and the entire series can be finished really fast. The two girls are pretty much in love, although they both have boyfriend(s), so I kind of doubt both of their moralities. It's not that bad a read, but it isn't anything to write home about. I read it to enjoy the little wholesome exchanges and the lewdness, all while trying to ignore the lowkey cheating and other weirdness. All in all, a pretty 5/10 series, I wouldn't give this series a high score but I also think it has merit.

A Beginner's Guide to Manga (6/19/21 - 8/24/2023)

I love manga. Some of the best stories I've ever read have been from manga, and I highly recommend at least reading some manga series to anyone who hasn't read manga before. This post is to hopefully serve as a guide to anyone who wants to get into manga, and also provide a lot of recommendations. Before I start, I want to first also list off some pros that manga has over other mediums, such as film or novels, which also serve to explain why I love this medium so much. First off, its a lot easier to enter the flow state while reading manga. In my experience, it always takes a few pages before I can become fully absorbed into a manga, and with manga you can also stop at any time, unlike something like a movie where you have to pay attention for around two hours straight. Manga as an industry is also not afraid of new ideas, and this results in both a lot of creative premises/storytelling and a very wide range of genres within manga. There will be a manga out there for anyone to...

UCI Survival Guide: 2023 Spring (8/9/2023)

Contradictorily, this was probably my most busy quarter yet. The very first week of the spring quarter I went to a jam in SLO, where I was one of nine collegiate invites for a special collegiate eight to smoke category. I, along with two other bboys from UCSD, stayed with the SLO bboys who organized the SLO jam, and that trip was just so fun. I was able to be driven up by bboys from San Diego that I'd only seen in videos before, and I also did much better than I expected. I didn't win or anything, but I technically got third place because I ended with the third most amount of rounds won. I also made the decision to fly back up to Norcal and enter the Floorgangz Anniversary jam with Josh and Enzo, which was actually super fun. I spent a decent amount of money on this, but I saw a lot of people I knew and I think it was also definitely a highlight of the quarter for me. Besides that, the CAT gathering was also during this quarter. I wasn't as involved with this, but I still ...
